GreenLaw’s Condolence Statement for Britt Pendergrast
Atlanta, GA--GreenLaw joins Britt Pendergrast’s friends in offering our deepest condolences and sympathies to the Pendergrast family, after hearing that Britt Pendergrast passed away on Thursday morning.
As one of the Honorees of the Environmental Heroes Celebration, Mr. Pendergrast is a noted wildlife expert who served in the Georgia Department of Natural Resources as the Program Manager of then-Governor Jimmy Carter’s Georgia Heritage Trust Program which preserved many of our well-known wildlife and wilderness areas.
He along with his wife, Mrs Nan Pendergrast have shared stories and photographs of two hundred and fifty native flowers of the Georgia Piedmont in their book Neighborhood Naturalist.
The couple celebrated 75 years of marriage last year.
Mr. Pendergrast’s lifetime of dedication to preserving some of Georgia’s most beautiful wilderness areas will serve and inspire generations of Georgians yet to come.
Georgia is a more beautiful place because of his life and legacy.
