GreenLaw Appoints Dave Paule as its New Executive Director
GREENLAW SELECTS DAVE PAULE AS ITS NEXT EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
ATLANTA – (May 16, 2016) – The Board of Directors of GreenLaw has selected David M. Paule as the organization’s next Executive Director following an extensive search process.
Paule assumes the position previously held by Stephanie Stuckey Benfield, who is currently Director of the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability for the City of Atlanta. Legal Director Steven Caley served as interim Executive Director while the search was conducted.
“Dave is a proven leader who has shown tremendous acumen in growing non-profit organizations,” board Chairman David A. Bain said. “Dave’s energy, vision, and organizational experience will be an important asset in our efforts to protect Georgia’s environment and ensure its citizens continue to benefit from clean water, clean air, and careful development.”
Prior to joining GreenLaw, Paule was Chief Revenue Officer for The Atlanta Opera, where he led the company’s marketing and fundraising functions. Under his leadership, the company achieved higher revenues and a stronger brand positioning. From 2011 to 2014, Paule was Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, where he increased revenues and ticket sales by restructuring the planning, revenue management and fundraising functions. In 2011, Paule retired from Delta Air Lines where he concluded a 23-year career as General Manager of Delta Cargo’s marketing, customer service and eCommerce programs.
“Dave brings a new, business-oriented perspective to GreenLaw, plus a record of growing revenues and building name recognition for the organizations he has served in the past,” Caley said. “He also has a passion for environmental justice, which is an area that deserves more attention. We are glad to have him by our side and believe he will be very successful in this role.”
Paule holds a B.S. in aerospace engineering from University of Cincinnati and an M.B.A. in management from Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business, where he also serves as an adjunct for the Managerial Sciences department. He lives in the City of Atlanta, where he serves on the boards of the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center and the Suzi Bass Awards.
