October 22, 2013 (ATLANTA) – GreenLaw, a Georgia-based nonprofit law firm, has been awarded a $35,000 grant from The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta to enhance strategic planning around governance and environmental justice partnerships.

GreenLaw will use the funds to develop a strategic plan for the Environmental Justice Collaborative as well as expand relationships with other legal community-based organizations. Additionally, funds will be used to enhance the effectiveness of GreenLaw’s Board.

“We are excited and honored to receive this grant from The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. Strategic planning is an integral part of growing a strong organization, but it can be overlooked without proper funding to spur the process,” said Stephanie Stuckey Benfield, executive director at GreenLaw. “Partnering with other organizations that provide Environmental Justice services will assure that more Georgian’s are getting the information and legal support that they deserve.”
